Norfolk Private Ambulance Service Gets State Recognition

NORFOLK - A Northeast Nebraska private ambulance service is being recognized for their quality care of children.

Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services says that Norfolk Ambulance Service is the first department in Nebraska to be recognized by Nebraska Emergency Medical Services for Children as being "Peds Ready".

EMS specialist Brad Harm says that they go above and beyond in their care.

“They have shown that they are more than willing to go the extra mile when it comes to pediatric care in the state of Nebraska. This is nothing required, this is going above and beyond to make sure that all of the residents of this area that they are treating have the best care possible.” Harm says.

This includes compliance with state regulations, carrying specialized pediatric equipment and participating in national EMSC surveys.
