Trial scheduled for Phelps County Deputy charged with child abuse

PHELPS COUNTY, NE - The trial for a Phelps County Deputy who was arrested late last year has been scheduled. According to court documents, Jamie Tilson's trial will start on April 17th. 

Tilson was arrested in November after the Nebraska State Patrol investigated a reported assault following an incident that occurred in Holdredge on September.

Tilson is charged with negligent child abuse and third-degree assault. Both are misdemeanors. Tilson pleaded not guilty to both charges. The deadline for him to change his plea is March 25th.
