Newest Norfolk Firefighter Sworn In

The Norfolk Fire Division swore in their newest, and now their youngest firefighter Friday morning.

NORFOLK - The Norfolk Fire Division swore in their newest, and now their youngest, firefighter Friday morning.

Max Hesman was sworn in Friday morning by Chief Scott Cordes.

At the age of 19, Hesman is one of the youngest full-time firefighters hired by Norfolk Fire.

He graduated from Omaha Westside and attended the Fire Science Program at Metropolitan Community College.

Hesman will serve on B Shift under Captain Lannce Grothe.
