NORFOLK - A northeast Nebraska cancer fundraiser will be achieving a major milestone this year.

For the Girls' Pink Pint Night Fundraiser will be held at The Stables in Norfolk on Wednesday.., February 19th.

The event was created by a group of Norfolk women who wanted to help support those that suffer from breast cancer.

Now in its ninth year, For the Girls will be eclipsing $1 million raised locally since their formation.

Organizers say some of that money goes to cancer research, but the vast majority of the money will stay to help people in northeast Nebraska.

The money raised from the event over the years has been used to purchase equipment like breast coils, 3-D mammography equipment, and other surgical tools for Faith Regional Health Services.
