A Lincoln attorney accused of theft and abuse of a vulnerable adult is facing another, similar accusation.
Christine Vanderford has pleaded not guilty in the first case and is awaiting trial.
Prosecutors have said Vanderford took more than $60,000 without authorization from a developmentally disabled woman for whom she'd been appointed guardian.
Police say in the new case that Vanderford held a power of attorney for a relative but hadn't paid the woman's nursing home bill of $53,000 and took nearly $37,000 from the woman.
Vanderford didn't immediately return a call Friday from The Associated Press.
