WASHINGTON D.C. - A Nebraska Indian tribe is getting a federal boost in the fight against youth suicides.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced a grant of almost $400,000 to the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska on Tuesday.

The money will toward a program targeted at those between 10 and 24 years old. Tribal officials say it is expected to increase the number of organizations that work with youth and increase the capacity of clinical service providers to help reduce the risk of suicide.
