Hall County Sheriff's Dept. Warns Against Jury Duty Scam

GRAND ISLAND - The Hall County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents of a scam involving the department.

Authorities say in the scam, a male claims to be Deputy Thomas of the Hall County Sheriff's Department.

The department doesn't have a deputy Thomas working for them.

The scammer also says he is calling because jury duty was missed.

The department asks that if you receive this phone call do not give any money or personal information over the phone.

If you receive this call, you are asked to call 911 to report it.
