NORFOLK - The Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska will have a brand new addition in the near future.
In a press release, the shelter announced plans to add a Memorial Garden by the summer of 2020. The garden will be located in front of their building on 1000 E Omaha Avenue in Norfolk, and will feature greenery, a brick walkway, trees, and benches which can be dedicated to a person or pet.
"The Memorial Garden is something we have been planning for a while. We want to give our community a place to visit to remember loved ones of all species while also supporting our shelter and the homeless animals in it," Shelter Manager Lisa Doescher said.
The garden was designed by ASNN management of Guaranteed Landscaping of Norfolk.
