Nebraska City coasts to Homecoming win over Falls City
Jordan Williams eclipsed 300 yards passing, threw four touchdowns, and ran for another.

NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska City football team put on an impressive offensive display for their home crowd en route to a 42-15 victory over Falls City Friday night.
In first quarter action, the Pioneers scored two touchdowns in eight seconds, first at 6:32 on a 29 yard TD pass from Jordan Williams to WR Braden Thompson; then with 6:24, on the ensuing kickoff, Thompson stripped the ball and returned it 8 yards to the endzone.
Late in the second quarter, an ineligible man downfield penalty negated a 25 yard Falls City touchdown on a pass from Kade Bredemeier to Trey McAfee. The Tigers eventually came up empty-handed on that drive as time expired.
The score was 28-0 at halftime. The Tigers finally got on the board with a 7 yard TD run by Bredemeier at the 4:32 mark of the third quarter. On the Pioneers' following possession, WR Michael Nelson shook an attempted tackle and scampered 56 yards to pay dirt.
Williams eclipsed 300 yards passing, threw four touchdowns, and ran for another. Thompson and Nelson both finished with over 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Bredemeier had one passing and rushing touchdown each.
Falls City drops to 3-4 and plays Lincoln Lutheran next Friday. Nebraska City moves to 4-3 and travels to Ashland-Greenwood with coverage on Otoe County Country (105.5 FM, 1600 AM, and newschannelnebraska.com.
