Albion Man Arrested For Attempted Murder
An Albion man is in jail after being arrested for attempted murder.

ALBION - An Albion man is in jail after being arrested for attempted murder.
The Nebraska State Patrol says that around 10 PM on Monday, Albion Police received a report of a shot being fired at a resident.
The victim told police that a man had driven past his house several times.
The second time, the man fired a shot from a handgun and drove away.
The resident was not injured.
Officers were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle at a home in Albion and was arrested in a traffic stop two hours later.
41-year-old Charlie Melgoza was arrested for attempted murder, weapons charges and terroristic threats.
Albion Police Department, Boone County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol were involved in the investigation.
