CRETE - Junior Alec Wick, a Blair, NE native and member of the Doane men's cross country team, is the second honoree in NCN's Doane Tiger Spotlight.

Wick earned his fourth GPAC Runner of the Week honor on Sept. 11 for his performance in the Augustana Twilight in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Sept. 6. Wick placed 18th overall in the meet, and ran the fastest time of any NAIA runner (19:36.52).

Doane placed 10th as a team at that meet, which was the highest of all 12 NAIA teams competing in the 26-team field. Wick's twin brother, Evan, also runs on the team. Alec earned first-team all-conference honors as a freshman in 2017.
