LAUREL - A first-year Nebraska Senator visited Laurel Thursday afternoon to discuss issues important to the people living in the Midwest.

District 40 Nebraska Senator Tim Gragert from Creighton stopped by the Cedar View Country Club to give a recap of his first legislative session.

He says boosting economic development and property tax reform are the most important issues to the district.

District 40 covers Rock, Holt, Boyd, Knox, Cedar, and Dixon Counties.

“We’re going to have to work together to get economic development, good property tax reform; which I ran on and I know my constituents are very strong on property tax relief. So, But I think its going to take a give and take, we need to work together on this.” Gragert says.

Gragert says he enjoys coming to the smaller towns where he gets to visit with the people he serves.
