STANTON - A West Point man who was wanted on warrants in multiple counties was arrested in Stanton on Sunday.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office says that 24-year-old Josue Osuna-Salazar was taken into custody after he was observed in the Country Village trailer court near Woodland Park. Osuna-Salazar was wanted on a Stanton County warrant after he fled in a vehicle from a traffic stop earlier this month.

Osuna-Salazar also had several Wayne County arrest warrants for DUS, flight to avoid arrest, and other traffic related charges. He was jailed pending the posting of cash bonds. Osuna-Salazar also faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

A female that was with him on Sunday was also cited for obstructing an officer. 21-year-old Brittney Scott of Woodland Park was also with him when he fled in a vehicle earlier this month while she was being arrested.
