NDOT Announces Repair Contract for Highway 121 Bridge

YANKTON - Construction on a northeast Nebraska bridge damaged in the March floods is set to begin next week.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation announced Wednesday a contract has been awarded for the reconstruction of the Nebraska Highway 121 bridge south of Yankton. Construction is set to begin August 12th. It is the final bridge contract to be awarded as a result of the March flood damage.

Dixon Construction won the $5.6-million dollar project. The bridge is expected to be open to traffic on December 31 with total completion coming in 2020.
