OXFORD - With recent rain fall comes elevated water levels, and members of the Oxford Fire Technical Rescue team took advantage of it.

According to their Facebook page, Team members took to the river Sunday afternoon to practice swift water rescues. The team took turns pulling off rescue situations in the water flowing at roughly 4 knots from the Harlan County Reservoir.

The team also sent a reminder to Nebraskans that a personal flotation device should always be used in water with a current that speed, regardless of age or swimming capabilities.
