Former Husker James Palmer has joined the summer league roster for the Phoenix Suns, according to The Athletic.

That means there will be at least two former Nebraska players in the summer league. Palmer's teammate, Isaiah Roby, was drafted in the second round earlier this month and will play in summer league with the Dallas Mavericks.

The Las Vegas summer league runs from July 5-15.

In his senior season, Palmer averaged 19.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game, ranking third in the Big Ten in scoring and fourth in steals. He established Husker single-season records in points (708), free throws attempted (282), free throws made (215) and minutes played (1,269).

Palmer played in the Reese's College All-Star Game during the Final Four weekend and in the Portsmouth Invitational, where he earned All-Tournament honors. He also participated in the NBA G League Elite Camp. He went undrafted earlier this month.
