Minor Injuries in Rollover Accident, North of Odell
Three escape serious injury, in rollover accident north of Odell on Southwest 61st
BEATRICE – A one-vehicle rollover accident this morning north of Odell, caused only minor injuries to three occupants.
Gage County Sheriff’s Officers and fire and rescue personnel from Wymore, Odell, and Beatrice responded to the scene this morning.
A sport utility vehicle that appeared to be northbound on Southwest 61st, went off the west side of the road. The vehicle struck a ditch next to a corn field and overturned.
The accident caused minor injury to the female driver and two young children. A Wymore Fire official and Gage County Sheriff’s deputy said the woman was wearing a seatbelt, and both children were in child safety seats.
The accident occurred about a quarter mile north of the intersection of Southwest 61st and the P-W-F road. It’s not certain what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.
Known as the Odell Road, traffic was blocked on both lanes while law officers and rescue personnel were at the scene. The east lane of the road was reopened about a half-hour after officials arrived on the scene.
