Scottsbluff native Nathan Lashley qualifies for U.S. Open

Scottsbluff native Nathan Lashley went to Canada Monday to secure a spot in the U.S. Open next week at Pebble Beach.


Lashley and Alex Prugh won a three-for-two playoff at Rattlesnake Point in Milton, Ontario, for the last two of four available spots.
At Springfield, Ohio, Ryan Vermeer (139) was three strokes out of a playoff and fellow Omahan Carson Schaake (142) another three strokes back. Philip Maschka of Omaha shot 151.
