Ready, Set, Laugh at The Great American Comedy Festival

NORFOLK, NE (News Channel Nebraska) - Get ready to laugh out loud because the Great American Comedy Festival is back in town.
"So the Great American Comedy Festival first started in 2008 and it's basically a tribute to Johnny Carson, which as we known is a comedian who is from Norfolk, ” says Liz Wallace, Great American Comedy Festival Board Member. “We've just continued that tradition for 12 years now. ”
For three nights, friends and family will be able to enjoy performances by some of America's greatest comedians.
"We just want to see you all tonight, we hope to see you all here, it's going to be such a great weekend, and we hope to see you each night," says Wallace.
With headliners this year including Dave Coulier from "Full House" and Paul Reiser from NBC's “Mad About You,” it's something you don't want to miss.
"People should come because these are great names," says Wallace. "We're also going to see a lot of great up-and-coming comedians and ones who are going to be more well-known."
The event kicks off tonight at the Johnny Carson Theatre in Norfolk, with a Comedy Magic Show by "The Optical Delusions."
"This is a great family show, one that you definitely want to bring the kids to, it's going to be great, family fun," says Wallace.
And with performances by comedians like Dino Archie, Chris Newberg, Kelsey Cook, and many more.
"It's definitely something that you don't want to miss," says Wallace.
And once you're there, don't forget to snap a selfie with Mr. Johnny Carson.
The festival will run from June 13 to June 15 at The Johnny Carson Theatre.
