NORFOLK - The discussion around a controversial ordinance regulating businesses near the North Fork Elkhorn River continues.
The North Fork Elkhorn River Overlay District was discussed during the Norfolk City Council Meeting on Monday evening. Including a vote to change the number of review board members from five to nine.
A move which increases representation for future projects by residents who live in the Overlay District.
Also approved Monday evening, was an ordinance which would allow the boundaries to be changed to existing streets instead of through property.
The Overlay District was first introduced in December 2018 and would set guidelines for new properties and businesses along the river.
