A Nebraska community continues search efforts for flood victim Ken Angel

SPENCER - As Boyd County continues recovery efforts from March Flooding, they also continue search and rescue efforts. 71-year-old Kenny Angel of Spencer has been missing since the Spencer Dam broke, releasing massive amounts of water and giants ice chunks out of the Niobrara River straight into Angel's bar, campground, and home. Search efforts have turned up some debris from the campground, but there has been no sign of Angel or his personal belongings.
Sheriff Wrede says, "You would think you would find a one ton pickup sitting somewhere. Even if it's bashed up you would find it."
Sheriff Chuck Wrede says efforts to recover Angel and his belongs continue throughout the region, carried out by officials and community members alike. Along with searching for the missing man, loved ones have put up a flag pole with a very emotional connotation.
"Kenny was a veteran - a medic in Vietnam.. they planted the flag ."
As efforts to get some closure on the disappearance of the war vet continue, one thing is for sure - love and admiration for Kenny Angel is apparent throughout his home community.
