STEELE CITY – Jefferson County authorities arrested a Steele City man Tuesday morning on several drug charges and other offenses.

With the assistance of the Nebraska State Patrol and Jefferson County Ambulance District #33, authorities served a search warrant at the residence located at 203 N 2nd St. in Steele City.

Trevor Pingel, 35, was arrested for distribution of a controlled substance (meth), possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a deadly weapon and manufacture of a controlled substance.

A suspected 10 grams of meth were discovered inside the residence, along with items in relation to the production and distribution of controlled substances.

Large amounts of drug paraphernalia were taken as evidence.

Pingel is being held at the Department of Corrections Diagnostic and Evaluation Center in Lincoln. No bond has been set at this time.

The case remains under investigation.
