Six-year-old Bellevue girl dies after being hit by SUV

A 6-year-old Bellevue girl died after being hit by an SUV Sunday evening near South 25th and Harrison Streets, Bellevue police said.
Paramedics tried to resuscitate the girl en route to Nebraska Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The incident was reported at 7:55 p.m. near South 23rd and Emiline Streets. The girl had been outside with family when she either ran in front of a Ford Expedition or to the vehicle's side and was struck as the Expedition pulled away from the curb, Bellevue Police Lt. Chad Reed said.
