Six people arrested on drug charges in Fairbury Monday
FAIRBURY - Jefferson County authorities arrested six people on drug charges and other offenses Monday.
Authorities served a search warrant at the residence of 1115 A St. in Fairbury in the early morning Monday.
Items including marijuana and methamphetamine were discovered during the search of the house. Drug paraphernalia and items in association with distribution of a controlled substance were also found.
Six people were arrested at the scene, and charged with possession and distribution of a controlled substance.
Those arrested are identified as Troy Siems, Ronald Littell, Jeffrey Wares, Robin Erichsen, Ashley Nicholson and Brandon Whorton.
Whorton was also arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Richardson County. In addition, he was additionally charged with resisting arrest, assault on a police officer and interfering with a government operation.
This case is still under investigation, and additional charges may be filed.
