NORFOLK - For the first time ever the Norfolk Community Theatre will be presenting a play with translation for the hearing impaired.
N-C-T's production of Nina Raine's “Tribes” opens next Thursday for seven performances at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
One of the shows will feature American Sign Language translation for the hard of hearing.
The play is about two families that have been affected by deafness, and director Libby McKay says it's provided a great opportunity for the whole cast to learn about the deaf experience.
The ASL-translated performance of Tribes will be presented on March 7th. More information about the show can be found at the nctheatre.org.
