Stanton County Roads Deteriorating Due to Excessive Travel

STANTON, NE - Authorities in Stanton County continue to encourage residents to stay off of county roads.
Stanton County Emergency Manager Sanford Goshorn says all county roads are deteriorating due to excessive travel. He urges residents to stay off the roads so maintenance can grade them and keep them from eroding.
He also says there are downed power lines in the county.
Goshorn says the Elkhorn River Bridge on Highway 57 south of Stanton is closed due to damage. Highway 57 north is the only open road out of Stanton.
