A late-night fire destroyed a van in Norfolk on Wednesday.
NORFOLK, Neb. -- A late-night fire destroyed a van in Norfolk on Wednesday.
Shortly after 10:00 p.m., fire and rescue units were called to the 400 block of Blaine Avenue. Arriving responders noted a van was fully engulfed in flames.
According to Norfolk Fire Chief Tim Wragge, it took approximately six firefighters and two rigs about 20 minutes to control the fire. It took another 40 minutes to overhaul the structure.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The van is considered a total loss. No civilians or firefighters were injured during the incident.
