Beatrice Firefighters Douse Vehicle Fire

BEATRICE – Beatrice Firefighters were called to a fire Sunday night that destroyed a vehicle.

Firefighters were sent to a blaze in a sport utility vehicle at around 6:25 p.m., in the three-hundred block of North 8^th.   According to dispatch traffic, firefighters arriving saw the vehicle engulfed in flames.  They extinguished the fire in less than ten minutes.

There were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
